The China-British Vocational Education Cooperation Seminar and Negotiation was held from March 1 to 2 , and it’s jointly organized by the China Education Association for International Exchange and the British Department for Business and Trade. More than 60 college representatives from all over the country held discussions and negotiations.
Mr. Yu Yougen, Deputy Secretary-General of China Education Association for International Exchanges, said that education exchange and cooperation has always been the highlight of cooperation between China and the UK, which has positive significance in promoting the connotation development of vocational education, cultivating high-quality talents with international vision and adapting to multiculturalism, improving the level of China-British international vocational education cooperation, and contributing to a new highland of international cooperation in vocational education.
Ms. Sun Xiaojun, deputy director of the Department of Education of Shandong Province, said that in recent years, Shandong has fully implemented the important spirit and requirements of accelerating and expanding the opening up of education in the new era, and actively introduced overseas high-quality education resources. We hope to take this event as an opportunity to promote the two-way linkage between the two sides in the field of vocational education, create more exchange opportunities and cooperation space, achieve greater development results, lay a good foundation for the cooperation between Shandong and the UK in the field of vocational education, and create a new situation.
Ms. Liu Jing, director of the Comprehensive Department of Education, Sports and Creative Retail of the British Department for Business and Trade, said that this year was the 51st year of the establishment of ambassadorial diplomatic relations between China and the UK. This meeting has set up a platform for exchanges and cooperation between schools and enterprises, helping to open up broader areas for both sides in the field of cooperation in running schools, and providing multiple and in-depth cooperation opportunities.
President Jiang Yupeng introduced the basic situation of the college and the experience of international education. He said that the Seminar expanded the communication and cooperation between vocational schools and British institutions, laid a good foundation for the cooperation between schools and British vocational education, and was of positive significance in preparing for the establishment of a China-British vocational education consortium and broadening the exchange platform between the two sides.
During the lectures and case sharing, representatives of Chinese and British universities made speeches on the Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools, the current situation of British vocational education, China-British cooperation in running schools, academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation etc..
The participants visited our productive training base of hotel management and digital operation in COSMOPlat, the production and teaching integration training base of tourism big data, the Cainiao post station, the cooking training building, the pastry technology inheritance and innovation workshop and other productive training bases in the college.
